Cadets premier bowler Mayura Galappaththi, grabbed just the third Baywide eight wicket bag in a decade, when he ripped through the Greerton batting attack on Saturday. Cadets batted first and posted a solid target when they were bowled out for 239. Enter the Cadets whiz, who ripped through the vaunted Greerton bowling attack to take eight wickets at a cost of 28 runs off 9.5 overs.

Dale Swan took 8/19 against Cadets two seasons ago, while Trent Boult returned from injury before rejoining the Black Caps, to hurtle through the Greerton batsmen with eight for 37 in 2013.

Western Bay honours, belonged to Katikati Reserve Grade batsman Matt Earl with 113 not out and Hawks B Grade bowler Lakh Jattana with 6/25 to his name. United Indians Amrit Singh blasted a second century on Saturday, with Ben Warren who seems to have been around forever, taking six wickets.
